As a teacher advisor and freelance trainer I have visited possibly 350 schools across the UK. I have been in large schools, small schools, special schools, primary schools, nursery schools and secondary schools. My journey into schools always holds the question, “What is it like to be in this school?” Many times I come away overwhelmed with the busyness and with huge empathy for children, parents and teachers.I went to Skarpnacks after meeting and being inspired by Marianne Gothlin at an Nonviolent Communication training in Switzerland, August 07. In describing what it was like for me to be at Skarpnacks I will try to capture in words the ethos that is 100% lived in each interaction, each glance, each step, each word.
